Create and send an email campaign

Choose an email, subscriber list, sender, and subject, then review and send your campaign.

A campaign sends a saved copy of an email design to the active subscribers in one list.

Before you begin, create an email design, add at least one active subscriber to a list, and set up a sender marked Ready. Your remaining email allowance must cover the campaign's active subscribers.

Create a campaign draft

  1. Open Marketing > Campaigns and select New Campaign. Alternatively, select Create Campaign in an email's editor to start with that design selected.
  2. Enter the Subject recipients should see in their inbox.
  3. Choose an Email Design.
  4. Choose a Subscriber List. The dropdown shows each list's active subscriber count.
  5. Choose a Sender. A default sender is selected automatically if you have one.
  6. Select Save Draft to save and return to Campaigns. To go straight to review, open View & Edit and select Save and Review.

You can reopen a saved draft by selecting its subject in Campaigns.

Review the saved campaign

Check the subject, sender, list, active subscriber count, and Email Preview. Resolve any messages under Before You Send.

Saving a draft captures the email design as it looks at that time. Later changes to the original email do not change the saved campaign. To capture updates, choose Edit Draft from View & Edit, then save and review again.

The list is checked again when sending starts. Subscribers added or unsubscribed after review can change who receives the campaign.

If the draft or sender details change in another session, select Refresh Review and check the updated details before proceeding. Refreshing the review does not copy later changes from the original email design; edit and save the draft to do that.

Send now

  1. On the review screen, select Send Now.
  2. Check the subject, list, and recipient count in the confirmation dialog.
  3. Select Send Now again to confirm.

The campaign is queued and begins sending when it is processed. Return to Marketing > Campaigns and open the campaign to check its status and delivery summary.

Once a campaign is queued or sending, you cannot use Cancel Schedule to stop it. Review all details before confirming.

To send later, follow Schedule or cancel an email campaign. If sending is unavailable, follow Check campaign status and troubleshoot sending.
