Schedule or cancel an email campaign

Schedule a future send in your site's timezone and return a scheduled campaign to a draft.

Schedule a campaign to send at a future date and time. Start with a saved, reviewed campaign that has a ready sender, active subscribers, and enough remaining sending allowance.

Schedule a send

  1. Open Marketing > Campaigns and select your draft campaign.
  2. Review its subject, sender, list, and saved email preview.
  3. Resolve any Before You Send messages.
  4. Select Schedule.
  5. Choose a future Send Date and Time.
  6. Check the timezone shown below the date and time field. Scheduling uses your site's timezone.
  7. Select Schedule Campaign.

The campaign shows Scheduled and its scheduled date. When the scheduled time arrives, it can show Queued while waiting to be processed, then Sending.

Change or cancel a future schedule

  1. Open the scheduled campaign.
  2. Select Cancel Schedule.
  3. Confirm that you want to cancel the schedule and return the campaign to a draft.

You can then edit the draft, save and review it, and choose a new schedule or send it immediately.

Cancel Schedule is available only while the scheduled time is still in the future and sending has not been prepared. It is unavailable once the campaign is queued or sending. Canceling a future schedule keeps the campaign as a draft.

What can change before sending

The campaign keeps the email content saved with its draft. Editing the original email later does not change that content. To use an updated design, cancel the future schedule, edit and save the draft again, and reschedule it.

Active subscribers, sender readiness, and sending allowance are checked again when sending starts. A scheduled campaign can fail if its list becomes empty, its sender is no longer ready, or its allowance is no longer sufficient. Scheduling does not guarantee that allowance will still be available at send time.

Check the campaign after its scheduled time. See Check campaign status and troubleshoot sending if it does not send.
