1. What information do we collect?

We collect information directly from you, automatically from your device, and from third parties you authorize.

Information you provide

  • Account details such as name, email address, phone number, billing address, and business information.
  • Authentication and security data, including passwords and multi-factor authentication details.
  • Content you upload or generate through the editor, templates, and collaboration tools.
  • Support requests, feedback, and survey responses.

Information collected automatically

We automatically log device identifiers, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, approximate location, and usage patterns. We also gather diagnostic and performance data to ensure the editor, conversion tooling, and hosting stack work as expected.

Information from third parties

If you connect a third-party service (for example Stripe, Google, or a domain registrar) we receive limited profile and transaction data from that partner so the integration works. We also obtain lead information from channel partners when you expressly consent.

2. How do we process your information?

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and customize the Services.
  • Process payments, facilitate customer support, and fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Send administrative messages, respond to inquiries, and provide onboarding or training resources.
  • Analyze usage trends, develop new features, run A/B experiments, and improve reliability.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents, fraud, spam, or policy violations.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and governmental requests.

3. What legal bases do we rely on?

We only process personal information when we have a valid legal reason to do so. Depending on your location, those reasons include:

  • Consent — for example when you opt in to marketing emails or connect a third-party account.
  • Contractual necessity — when processing is required to deliver the Services you requested.
  • Legitimate interests — such as securing our platform, preventing abuse, and understanding how customers use features.
  • Legal obligations — retaining records, responding to lawful requests, or meeting tax requirements.
  • Vital interests — protecting you, us, or others from harm.

4. When and with whom do we share information?

We do not sell personal information. We share it only when necessary for the purposes described above.

  • Service providers. Hosting, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, and customer support vendors.
  • Professional advisers. Lawyers, auditors, and insurers who help us manage risk and comply with the law.
  • Business transfers. A merger, financing, or acquisition may require sharing relevant information under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements. When we must comply with subpoenas, court orders, or other lawful disclosures.

5. Do we use cookies and similar technologies?

Yes. We and our partners use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, measure campaign performance, and understand how features are used. You can adjust cookie settings in your browser or, where available, within the in-product cookie banner. Some parts of the Services may not work correctly if you disable cookies.

6. How long do we keep your information?

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this notice, including meeting legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When we no longer need data, we delete or anonymize it. If deletion is not possible (for example, because it is stored in backup archives), we securely store the information and isolate it from further processing until deletion is feasible.

7. How do we keep your information safe?

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards such as encryption in transit, role-based access controls, logging, network isolation, and regular security reviews. Despite these measures, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, so we encourage you to use unique passwords, enable multi-factor authentication, and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. Do we collect information from minors?

Articulation is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it and terminate the associated account. Parents or guardians who believe we have collected information from a child should contact us using the details below.

9. What are your privacy rights?

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal information, and to object to certain processing activities. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at privacy@articulationlabs.com or by submitting a request through our Support Site.

If we rely on consent to process your data, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and in-product notifications include opt-out controls. We will honor your request within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Controls for do-not-track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") setting. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, we currently do not alter our behavior when we detect them. We will update this notice if that changes.

11. Do United States residents have specific rights?

Residents of certain U.S. states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Virginia, have additional rights such as the ability to know, access, delete, correct, or opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal information. We honor those rights within the timelines defined by each state law.

State Available rights Appeal process

Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia Access, correct, delete, portability, opt out of targeted ads or profiling. Submit an appeal via the Support Site or email. We will respond within 45–60 days and provide contact details for your state regulator if we deny the appeal.

Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf once we verify their authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

12. Do we make updates to this notice?

Yes. We may update this notice to stay compliant with relevant laws and to reflect changes to our Services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the latest changes were published. Material updates will be communicated through the Services or by direct notice.
