Manage your email marketing plan and allowance
Check remaining sends and learn how upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, and renewals work.
Your email marketing plan controls how many emails your site can send each month. Every plan includes unlimited contacts, and the Base allowance is included with Ultimate. Email marketing also needs to be available for your site.
Check your allowance
Open Marketing > Plans. You need permission to manage the site's billing to see this page.
Under Your Sending Allowance, check:
- Emails Remaining: The allowance still available for sending.
- Used: Emails already counted against the current period.
- Queued: Allowance reserved for prepared sends.
- Total: Your plan's allowance for the period.
- Resets: The date and time the allowance resets, displayed in UTC.
A campaign must fit within the remaining allowance. For example, a campaign with 250 active subscribers needs allowance for 250 emails. Sending another campaign to those subscribers uses additional allowance. Test sends also count.
Unused emails do not roll over. Delivery attempts with an unconfirmed outcome count toward usage, and there are no automatic overage charges.
Upgrade your plan
- Review the plans, email allowances, and monthly add-on prices shown on the page.
- Select Upgrade for the plan you want.
- Complete any checkout steps shown.
- Return to Plans and check that the new plan is displayed. After checkout, you may need to refresh shortly while payment is confirmed.
Upgrades take effect immediately once confirmed, with a prorated charge. Upgrading an existing paid plan keeps its renewal date and emails already used. Emails used on Base also carry into the first paid period, so an upgrade does not erase previous usage.
Downgrade or cancel the add-on
Select Switch to [plan] at renewal to choose a lower paid plan, or Cancel add-on at renewal to return to the Base allowance included with Ultimate.
Downgrades and cancellations take effect at renewal. The page shows the pending plan and start date; your current allowance remains available until then. To undo a pending change while the option is available, select Keep current plan.
Resolve a billing message
If the page says a renewal is being confirmed, sending becomes available when payment confirmation is complete. If the paid add-on needs attention, the site uses the Base allowance until the billing issue is resolved. You can still cancel the paid add-on.
If your site loses Ultimate, email marketing stops and the add-on is canceled. Your contacts and email content are kept.
If email marketing becomes unavailable while an add-on still exists, use Manage existing email marketing plan on the availability screen to manage cancellation.
